Only a few days ago, I got back from this year’s last outreach that took place in Rwanda. Thank you for all your support and prayers. They really made a difference and carried us through. For three weeks, 22 evangelists from several different nations labored hard for a common goal: to reach the mark of 1 Million decisions for Jesus in Rwanda in 2022. Earlier this year, we had already reached nearly 800.000 decisions and now a group went back to finish the work. Despite many challenges, we did reach the 1 Million! I led a team of 12 evangelists and we saw a harvest of nearly 127.000 salvations among the children and youth of Rwanda. And you my friend, are just as much part and parcel of it all as those of us who went and shared the gospel! This is team work and in God’s eyes, everyone’s contribution is equally valuable. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made this year to help us bring the gospel to the thousands around the globe!
Just before Rwanda, I spent a month in Indonesia. During this time, we did two weeks of youth crusades and saw around 8.000 salvations. This is truly a miracle considering the fact that we are talking about the nation with world’s largest Moslem population. It was the first time for me to try out the CfaN youth crusade model in Indonesia and it worked perfectly. We were welcomed everywhere and people were very receptive to the gospel message. We’re soon going back with a larger group of evangelists.
All in all, year 2022 was a very fruitful year. During the past 12 months, we as Awake the Nations, saw total of 152.892 decisions for Jesus! This means exponential growth from the previous year and I believe this is only a beginning of something that is taking us into whole new dimensions! However, to me personally it’s never about numbers and masses. It’s about every human being that is in need of salvation. To God, every individual is priceless and He goes against all odds to reach every lost soul. Sometimes we preach to an audience of thousands, sometimes to an audience of one. In Rwanda, I stood in front of thousands several times a day but just three days ago here in Germany, I stood in front of one. My car was having battery problems and I called a mechanic. There in my garage, I had the great joy of leading this young man to the Lord and pray the sinner’s prayer with him. As I’m closing, I’d like to encourage you to keep sowing and watering seeds wherever you are because the harvest around you is ripe. God wants to use you and He will if you step out together with Him!
For us at Awake the Nations, year 2023 is already full of exciting opportunities to bring the gospel to the lost in many different parts of the world. Therefore, I’d like to invite you to continue to partner together with us in this great mission. Together we are strong and can advance the Kingdom of God in great power. And together we will also share in the great rewards!
